Playing ironically with the 90' advertising slogan “La montagne, ça vous gagne!”, the sound piece questions the relevance of tourist developments in the mountains, particularly during winter sports, in relation to current environmental issues. Once a feared and wild place, then a land of conquest, what is the mountain becoming today? Listeners are invited to explore the Chamonix valley and a small part of Italy, while wondering about the ecological impact of our leisure activities.
